Leonard Olien is the Policy Director for Energy Storage at the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA). Leonard has been involved with energy storage since 2011, and has spent many years as a consultant in electricity markets and renewable energy, performing analysis and financial modelling of wind, solar and energy storage projects across Canada, the US and Ireland. Leonard has an MSc. in Mathematics from McGill University and, concurrent with his role at CanREA, is pursing his PhD in Mathematical Finance at the University of Calgary.
